The building in which the centre is located is 5 star ABGR accredited and 5 star Greenstar targeted building and therefore any design decisions could not compromise these ratings. As there is no Greenstar tool to assess childcare centres’ interior design, an Environmental Report was prepared that referenced the Greenstar office tool and noted compliance with relevant clauses. All selections to do with energy, appliances, finishes, fixtures and furniture have been made with impact on the environment in mind.
