What is the ‘big (IDEA)’ behind this project?
The design for the new office of the Electrical Trades Union Southern States Branch reflects their vision of an open and inviting space for its 18,000 members to access information and assistance, and is manifested in a ground floor training facility and café, along with a generous reception that is centrally located between a members’ lounge and library with meeting spaces. An open plan work environment reflected the democratic structure of the organization and fosters communication between the staff and members.
