What is the ‘big (IDEA)’ behind this project?
The design focus was to create a seamless relationship between the interior and exterior living spaces while creating privacy for the owners from the surrounding homes. Concealed interior sliding doors and large exterior glass sliding doors that slide away magically into pockets, can transform the house to suit large social occasions or intimate family gatherings. A layering of warm and natural materials contrasts the cool contemporary design and creates a home rich in texture and visual stimulation. The home is an “urban oasis” to the client.
