What is the ‘big (IDEA)’ behind this project?
Inspiration for the design “DNA” was taken from Canberra’s National Science and Technology Centre. The inspiration also ties in with the construction of the new Kingston Foreshore, as DNA is often compared to a set of blueprints, since it contains the instructions needed to construct other components of cells. DNA was fabricated by Design Hub from custom aluminium blended with acrylic. Centre core LED lighting accentuates features in the design.
