What is the ‘big (IDEA)’ behind this project?
The DH Scenic Workstation is designed to suit either a workforce or an individual where both ESD values and personal comfort are integral. Arriving flat-packed it is easily assembled into adaptable configurations. The work surface is sensuous to touch, unlike most mass produced pieces, and the profiled edge timber is reminiscent of writing desk details. Exposed end grain, profiled cross sections and variable timber sizes matched to structural requirements contribute to the workstation’s identity. It is built by Australians, using Australian, environmentally sustainable materials.
