What is the ‘big (IDEA)’ behind this project?
The brief: a holiday home that could be occupied by several families. The original fireplace in the living area has been clad with bluestone and is the full height of the structure. The three bedrooms have individual bathrooms, private sitting areas and open directly onto the decks. An undercover balcony runs the full length of the house. A feature wall incorporates recycled oyster sticks and demolished boathouse timbers. Timber louvres open on the western wall to provide sunlight and ventilation.
