What is the ‘big (IDEA)’ behind this project?
The GPT brand and Rouse Hill Town Centre development combine to create a new, well-maintained neighbourhood destination offering alfresco dining, great shopping and community entertainment. That the site was once an orchard inspired the interior; the orchard theme is evoked in the architectural wall and ceiling skin, the large mural, green highlights and ‘fallen leaves’ (the coloured stools). Material selection and energy efficient solutions regarding lighting and mechanical ventilation are sensitive to sustainable design. This fitout represents the brand quantities of GPT, awareness of ‘treading lightly’ within the environment and ultimately symbolises the growth of a new community.
