What is the ‘big (IDEA)’ behind this project?
A project starts with bombarding it with information to see what resists, then organising the information through systems and diagrams, allowing manipulation. By challenging and rethinking definitions and not giving an architectural form in the first instance, opportunity is provided to reinvestigate and push boundaries. The need to be pertinent and impertinent in order to generate unexpected and relevant design is strong. Each design solution is unique, but uses a similar design strategy, which systematically integrates input for other disciplines.
