The design for Australia’s first six-star office building had to align with Google’s company culture, but at the same time be uniquely Australian and as sustainable as possible. Apart from the open plan workstations, ‘Googlers’ can work in 11 different wireless spaces, such as tents, tree houses, rainforests, winter gardens or even ‘under the sea’. The uniquely Australian video conference room appears to be entirely upside down with an electronically inverted image, so that Sydney ‘Googlers’ appear to be on the ceiling or ‘downunder’.
