Fujitsu’s Melbourne Headquarters is registered for a 6 Star Green Star Office Interiors Rating and achieves a 5 Star NABERS rating. The internal architecture, including the provision of access to abundant natural light, and selected electrical equipment, such as energy-efficient computer and IT systems, minimise energy use. Gas-fired cogeneration is the primary source for low-Greenhouse gas, electricity and heating. Sound absorptive treatment to walls and screens, carbon dioxide sensors and plants, including a ‘living’ green wall, all improve IEQ. Highly efficient dishwashers, fixtures and fittings were installed and black water recycling used in toilet flushing. All materials and furniture were researched and selected for their full VOC Green Star credits.
