Troy Backhouse designs a diverse range of 3-dimensional and 2-dimensional objects and environments using the manufacturing skills, material knowledge and fine artistic skills he has acquired through his trade of signwriting and his university degree (BA Design). After completing a signwriting trade, Backhouse worked on a variety of projects in London, with an impressive portfolio of clients including Harrods, Belgos and The British Museum. While completing his design degree at Monash University, Backhouse discovered his passion for furniture and brought together his learned disciplines to create a variety of pieces that have led to international exposure.
