The design for the new Visy head office investigates the materiality of Visy products in novel ways. As much of the infrastructure of the existing generic fitout of the office floor was used as possible, including workstations, ceilings and core enclosed spaces. However, new planning and elements inject vibrancy and reflect Visy’s culture, products and processes. The extensive remodeling of the reception desk, banquette seating and tables used Visy-produced material, such as corrugated card, recycled plastics and PET bottles. The abstracted forms become an integral part of the design, creating an interior that is optimistic, collegiate and engaging.
