Matthew Bird is founder and director of Studiobird; a design practice delivering innovative projects that combine interior and architectural solutions. Studiobird’s solutions conceptually push everyday boundaries, distorting conservative ideals and questioning what is real and desirable. Evocative, fantastical outcomes that are unique and highly thematic manifest themselves. Technology plays a key role, with digital software aiding designs ranging from textiles, wallpapers and artworks to interior design and architecture. Born, educated and based in Melbourne, Matthew has also contributed to many award winning projects with some of Australia’s leading architectural and design practices, namely Cassandra Complex and Ashton Raggatt McDougall.
