Amstal Design was established in May 2007 by Anneke La Grouw as a boutique commercial interior design studio reflecting her Dutch heritage. Consequently, the studio’s design characteristics include simplicity, clarity and often a sense of humour. Spaces that tell a story and leave a lasting impression are created using a minimal palette, simple planning and tactile materials. Amstal Design play by the rules … but know how to bend them. They view themselves creative designers, as well as strategic, spacial thinkers. Their projects have included the Microsoft Offices and the MLC Centre, both in Sydney.
