What is the ‘big (IDEA)’ behind this project?
Hue’s design concept was to so move away from the typical ‘lifestyle catalogue’ suites that have become so prevalent. Customised, unique homes were created to contrast this cliché. Interiors were to be based on a specific colour and the type of dwelling. The penthouse’s aspirational nature and its top level location determined its blue colouring.

What is the ‘big (IDEA)’ behind this project?
The branding and marketing for the building was concerned with colour, specifically ‘Hue’, as well as the type of building. The unique interior scheme was to be seen as a ‘wash’ of colour across the base building fitout, developed around signature pieces from local designers and artists. The colour yellow complements the townhouse typology that suggests a down to earth environment. Pieces were sourced to reflect a certain robustness to reinforce the idea.

What is the ‘big (IDEA)’ behind this project?
The two 3 level private residences reflect a new internationalism, highlighting Australian contemporary architecture. The simple façade belies the careful planning that results in remarkable spaces that visually ‘borrow’ from adjacent external and internal areas to maximise openness and transparency. Each property has a wet edge pool, private courtyards, 4 king size bedrooms and 3 bathrooms and 180-degree views of the vast, luxurious tropical surroundings. A limited palette of finishes and the openness of the house blurs the boundaries between indoors and outdoors.
