What is the ‘big (IDEA)’ behind this project?
The starburst of light patterns alludes to firelight glowing deep in the forest… Taking an innovative direction, this luminaire focuses on the after-effect of the light. It combines precision engineering with handmade surface finishing. Calculated geometry of light source positions and intricately cut silhouettes control the throw of light, ensuring the projected patterns appear only on the wall. The canopy of the design allows for many finishes including the organically hand-formed copper veneer with its ridges and valleys.

What is the ‘big (IDEA)’ behind this project?
The 036 pendant series is a range of over sized pendant lights. Its simple design and construction utilizes two identical metal chassis and 36 identical blades. The blades can be laser cut from a variety of flat sheet materials including plastics, metal and wood. If required, the blades can be custom designed by modifying the shape or adding decorative patterns. A simple snap fit design allows the pendant to ship fully flat to reduce shipping costs and there is no need to use damaging adhesives or other costly assembly fittings.
