This category will publish and award residential interiors that illustrate excellence in design and are both responsive to the living needs of residents, location and climate in which the project is situated.

The Best Residential Interior Awards will showcase the interior spaces of high, medium and low density residential developments across Australia that utilise sound design principles to craft places for people to live and enjoy the elements that combine to make a home.

The interior response to planning, site and climatic factors is assessed. Excellence in construction and detailing, as well as the enlightened use of fixtures, furniture and technology are all reviewed in order to select a project that is arguably the best designed residential interior in the country.

Considered entries will be projects completed between January 2007 and June 2008, within Australia.
