Plans to provide three separate new bedrooms over a large garage for an existing home evolved as a functional response after a site analysis was undertaken. Approval was granted to bring the facade dramatically forward to make way for the extra accommodation, so as to retain existing Moonah trees. Accomplishing a sense of separation yet integration between the old and new works, although not heritage in nature, was an underlying philosophy.
