Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki

The new Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tamaki is a public project that includes the restorative adaptation of heritage buildings. Collectively involving a building extension, increased basement storage and support areas, and the redesign of adjacent Albert Park, the gallery dazzles, inspired by its natural surroundings. A series of tree-like canopies characterise the space and cover the forecourt, atrium and gallery areas. These geometric forms hover over the stone walls and terraces and support circulation.
