Sake Restaurant & Bar

Located in Sydney’s The Rocks precinct, the restaurant fuses refined, Japanese-inspired design with the rustic, colonial backdrop of The Argyle Stores – one of the city’s most significant heritage buildings. Classic Japanese motifs and joinery construction methods are referenced and appropriated in the dining and drinking spaces, yet the design remains sensitive to the existing architecture, enhancing its design features. The adaptive reuse project preserves the historical fabric of the heritage building while also immersing visitors in a Japanese dining experience.
