Via Alley Select is the satellite outpost of Via Alley to sell select items from the boutique’s product range. Hence a strong emphasis on product display and placement was required. The challenge was minimum floorspace and maximum ceiling height in a modest location that also called for an attention seeking design. A curved wall of white panels punctured by hundreds of black speakers exaggerates the height of the store and executing the effect of a much larger space. The arrangement of multiple speakers creates an impressively surreal shopping environment, a very intense moment of shopping within one of Sydney’s busiest shopping centres.
