The MERCY Seat is constructed from renewable Australian Hoop Pine plantation veneer with low-formaldehyde sound-fixed bonding. The water-based lacquer provides the best indoor air quality for the factory and user. Optional “add-on” urethane seat and upholstery covers select non-CFC blowers, GECA certified wool and organic wool-blend fabrics. The light, compact Seat is boxed in recycled cardboard and paper, ideal to be transported in pairs or stacked in tens to optimise volume. The simplicity of the design reflects an ecological imperative to reduce consumption.
