The installation, commissioned for the first anniversary of the Sherman Contemporary Art Foundation (SCAF), creates a functional space for displaying catalogues and other publications, while also generating an aesthetic resonance within the gallery. The honeycomb-shaped cells are backlit through transparent acrylic using LEDs, and the changing lights and effects create a surreal, ephemeral experience. The installation will grow and evolve in response to each new gallery project. It is fabricated using CNC milling and CAD CAM technology.
