The brief for Fujitsu’s new Melbourne Docklands office stipulated a flexible workspace for the collocation of multi-disciplinary teams with a state of the art Digital Media Centre and customer services facilities, all meeting a 6 Green Star sustainability rating. The design concept impacts minimally on the base building and integrates innovation and the use of built fabric to create a workplace that is welcoming, fresh, relaxed and open. The space works toward collaborative work practises and uniformity of workspace with greater administrative efficiencies. The fitout is not only a benchmark for sustainable design but also for the design of Fujitsu’s future global workplace.
