As the project coincided with the new branding of the The White Agency, as a daring, cutting-edge digital advertising agency, it had to make a statement. The bold black and white base palette is punctuated with colour through painted vertical surface features, joinery details and furniture. The design also mirrors the agency’s core values of transparency, functionality and energy. For example, the rope features, a play on the ‘hands on’ approach, double as dividers in the inclusive, open-plan space. The plan maximises the natural ventilation and light, from the striking curved Blackbutt ceiling down to the re-buffed concrete floor of the heritage-listed building.
