The materials, bamboo and stainless steel, were selected based on ecological sustainability. Bamboo is extremely fast growing, renewable and does not emit any chemicals over time. Stainless steel is not only an extremely resilient material, but is 100% recyclable. The Lofoten Lounger has been designed to allow separation of each component with a single allen key, which permits flat packing (minimising packaging and optimising space in transport).
