Freefold 02 is made from Xanita X-Board, a product that is made from 92% post-consumer waste paper, and that is 100% recyclable. It is also very strong and durable, and produces very low VOC emissions. The jointing system provided is also cardboard, from 100% recycled stock, and printed with vegetable dyes.The material is extremely lightweight and despite the core being shipped from South Africa it consumes less energy overall in transport than comparable products due to this weight advantage. Xanita has plans to build a plant in Sydney.
