The Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA) is committed to developing a sustainable property industry by encouraging the adoption of green building practices. The interior architecture of their new head office is the tangible expression of the organisation’s character and culture, focusing on occupant health, productivity and wellbeing. The project enabled experimentation with initiatives that other clients might not be prepared to trial, such as grey water treatment for toilet flushing, light shelves to manage radiant heat loads and a raised floor to provide a displacement air system. The flexible interior provides space for training and education, and takes advantage of the surrounding views.
