Four floors of Wesfarmers House were to be transformed into a space that is reflective of Wesfarmers’ evolving corporate identity as an inclusive, non-hierarchical and contemporary team. The innovative interior design aims to improve business outcomes and staff retention. A highlight is the reception desk and bench seating, designed by Jon Goulder and Malcolm Harris to reflect Wesfarmers growth as a company. The reception space speaks of Wesfarmers’ heritage, with its Australian timber, muted tones and organic forms. Recycled spotted gum flooring, a feature carpet inlay and backlit Marblo panelling on both the lift core and branded floating wall behind the desk complete the design.
