The Over Fifty Group incorporates wide ranging measures aiming to achieve 5 star ratings. Lighting measures include zoned lighting with sensors, use of natural light and task lighting. Energy and water efficient appliances are powered by renewable electricity. New furniture was chosen for local production and environmental credentials, including those constructed from Global Venture’s Eco-Core, the only Forest Stewardship Council certified blockboard. A key focus was to change the culture of the workplace, organising an audit task force and establishing baseline targets.
