What is the ‘big (IDEA)’ behind this project?
The Holier Than Thou Dining Chair challenges traditional uses of material and methods of manufacture. The seat is constructed with sheet metal sections to create one solid unit, yet the perforated patterns have the delicateness and intricacy of lace. The steel backrest provides structural integrity and visual contrast, and allows the chair to be stacked. The product is light in both appearance and weight, yet stands up to the outdoor elements. The Dining Chair accompanies the Holier Than Thou Easy Chair and Table.
